Eric Anicich

Eric Anicich is a tenured Associate Professor of Management and Organization at USC's Marshall School of Business. He studies how people navigate organizational hierarchies, adapt to the changing nature of work, and sustain motivation and well-being in complex environments.

His research has been published in leading academic journals including Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Psychological Science. He is a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review and has published op-eds in Newsweek and the Los Angeles Times. Accounts of his work have appeared in outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Economist, The Atlantic, NPR, New York Magazine, USA Today, TIME, CNN, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, and Fast Company. In 2021, Poets & Quants named him one of the "Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professors."

He is also the founder of Crucible Cases, which makes interactive simulations for business education. Students step into the role of a decision-maker and engage — by voice or text — with AI stakeholders who have their own objectives, perspectives, and incentives. Instructors monitor student performance in real time and receive automatically generated teaching materials.

He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford, and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
